Part of the energy we need for our production is generated directly on site.
A 100 kW photovoltaic system is in operation at the DF Bulgaria site. Depending on weather conditions, solar irradiation and current energy demand, it can provide around 30 to 50 percent of the energy required.
This allows us to use a significant portion of our available roof and site space not only for production, but also to generate our own energy.
Producing and generating energy
The production and processing of perforated sheets requires energy – there’s no way around it. That makes it all the more important for us to consider how we can sustainably generate part of the energy we need ourselves.
Our photovoltaic system generates electricity where it is needed – directly at our site. Under favorable conditions, our own system can cover up to around half of our current energy demand.
This reduces our reliance on externally generated electricity while making productive use of the available space.
